ARISE

"ARISE"
 Pam Finlay July 2014
Acrylic on Paper

ARISE
31/7/14
This painting arose from scripture in:
 Psalm 68 v1
To the chief Musician, A Psalm or Song of David. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
Psalm 24 v7-9
7Lift up your heads, O gates, And be lifted up, O ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in! 8Who is the King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, The LORD mighty in battle.
9Lift up your heads, O gates, And lift them up, O ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in!…
The Lord, strong and mighty in battle is calling His people to rise up, chosen in their time, leaders of His army to step into His promises.  We need to be fervently praying daily, rising up in His strength, power and authority.   We need each other to come together.  Opening up the ancient gates to let the King of Glory in.

A turning for the nations.

Isaiah 60 v1
"Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you.

From glory to glory, the Body of Christ are beginning to ascend and go into the new.  The Lord is painting a new picture, He’s moving us outside of the boundaries that the world puts on us.   Those heavenly gates are being opened.  Focus on Him, when the enemy comes to stir up unbelief and fear, look to the Prince of Peace, keeping our eyes fixed on Him, Jesus.

He is looking for His bride, we are to be the Living Waters.  He is returning for His bride.  He is meeting us at the well.  We are to drink from that fountain.  Life giving waters, the Holy Spirit.

Walk in Peace at all times no matter what is going on.  Go into the secret place of the Most High.  Learn to walk in peace, “peace like a river”
Isaiah 66 v12-14
12 For this is what the Lord says:  “I will extend peace to her like a river,
and the wealth of nations like a flooding stream; you will nurse and be carried on her arm
and dandled on her knees.13 As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you;
and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”14 When you see this, your heart will rejoice
and you will flourish like grass; the hand of the Lord will be made known to his servants,
but his fury will be shown to his foes.

ON THE HEART OF GOD

"On the Heart of God"
Pam Finlay
Acrylic on Canvas July 2014

On the Heart of God – He is our shelter and strength, we are on His Heart.  The Lion of the Tribe of Judah represents Jesus in all authority coming to His people.
A scripture that I was drawn to whilst painting was Joel 3 verse 16.

This painting arose from a friends request to paint two silver cups (representing redemption) with a rainbow river (representing covenant) flowing from cup to cup in a letter u.

The following is what the Lord revealed during the course of painting:

I was led back to the book of Genesis in the bible to the story of Joseph and how God uses his silver cup to open the door to healing and forgiveness and reunites Joseph’s family.   God brings Joseph’s  brothers to repentance through his silver cup.  This silver cup is used to soften their hearts, reconcile them back to him and bring them to a place of full obedience.

It is only by His complete redemption and grace that God removes the veil and allows us to be led by His spirit who reveals all truth through His Word.

Truth and Grace go hand in hand and they came through Jesus Christ giving his life for us and setting us free.

Joseph’s youngest brother Benjamin shows this picture of his life being full of God’s unmerited favour. Joseph’s name means “may he add”.   Benjamin’s name means “son of right hand”.   God’s right hand is symbolic of his righteousness and favour, honour and authority.

Psalm 48 verse 10
As is Your name, O God, so is Your praise to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness (rightness and justice).

Joseph’s story in Genesis clearly shows how he pours his grace into his much loved brother, Benjamin’s life.  They shared the same mother and father, Rachel and Jacob.

Jesus sealed us with this redemption, forgiveness of sin in entirety.

The Holy Spirit led me to Genesis 45 verse 22

“To each of them he gave changes of raiment, but to Benjamin he gave 300 pieces of silver and five changes of raiment”.

300 is the number of His faithful remnant, that perfect wholeness.   5 speaks of grace.  Raiment(garment) represents His covering, His blessings on our lives to carry out His promise.  Silver represents redemption.   He has given His faithful remnant through redemption a covering of His grace.   We require this grace to fulfil the destiny He has for us.   Through the grace of Jesus we have received His full and perfect redemption.

The abundance of His grace is His gift of righteousness to us.  He has given us the opportunity to reign with Him, taking of the cup of His love,  living out His promise, knowing His truth, resting and trusting in the finished work of Jesus, directed by the Holy Spirit.

The significance of the rainbow in scripture is a covenant between God and His people, this everlasting covenant, His promise for us to have His eternal life.

The dwelling place of the Lord and the Holy Spirit is within our heart and mind.    The bride is to make herself ready fully submitting to the Lord.

Proverbs 3 verse 5-6

5 Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight and understanding.

6 In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

Narrow is the way.  The Lord is coming as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, in authority and victory.  He is preparing His bride in this season.   He sees and knows the heart.  He is seeking that heart-to-heart relationship.  Look to Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. Be the True worshippers with the Fathers heart.

Revelation 22 verse 12

22 Behold I am coming soon, and I shall bring My wages and rewards with Me, to repay and render to each one just what his own actions and his own work merit.

PETRA

"PETRA"  Pam Finlay June 2014
Acrylic on Canvas

 Close up detail of "Petra"

12/6/14

The Lord gave me the words, Petra and ledge of the rock.

The definition of “Petra” is a large mass of rock, a ledge, cliff, cave.  Of interesting note is that “Ledge” also means joint.  Conjoined with Jesus, two becoming one, united with him.

Matthew 7 verse 24, 25:

24 Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.

25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock.

Built on the rock, Jesus, our foundation stone.  Petra means rock(as defined above) and is used 15 times in the bible, mountain of a rock.  That “rock” is used to build houses in and on.

Luke 6 verse 48
48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock.  And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.

2 Samuel 22 verse 2
And he said, the Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer;

It denotes that firm foundation and it serves as a metaphor for our faith in Jesus Christ.   That unshakable foundation, that unmovable faith from God.  Jesus is called that Rock.   The Lord is setting His people on high places.

Psalm 18 verse 1,2.

1 I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.

2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in who I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

“Have I not commanded you, Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid, do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” Joshua 1 verse 9

Jesus, the rock of salvation.  He will deliver us.  He will heal us.  It’s all because of Jesus.  He came to save.  Jesus came humbly.  He is seeking for us to enter into His presence at a deeper level.  We are to operate out of our spiritual senses (the Holy Spirit guidance) and rest and trust in Him.

LEANING ON THE BELOVED

" Leaning on the Beloved" Pam Finlay
                               Acrylic on Canvas

Jesus, seal my heart with your love
Leaning into your everlasting arms
Nothing will separate me from you Lord
Safe and secure from all harm
Resting on your breast
That intimate embrace
Labouring together
To run the perfect race
A pure heart of surrender and submission
Knowing that mature love
Coming to fruition
Jesus, pressing in close to you
Awakened to your light
Coming up to meet the Beloved
Predestined in your sight
Living in that perfect peace
Bringing joy to my heart
Set me as a signet Lord
In holy matrimony we'll never part
 Pam Finlay  2014

The following scriptures are what the Lord revealed to me through the course of the painting.
 Revelation 22V17
17 The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let the one who hears say, "Come!" Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.
 Matthew 5 V14-16
14 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl.  Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
Song of Solomon 5 v5-6
5Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved? I raised thee up under the apple tree: there thy mother brought thee forth: there she brought thee forth that bare thee.  6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
Revelation 19 v11-12
11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.  12 His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself.…
I was also drawn to paint the 12 foundation stones of the new Jerusalem in the painting and was led to Revelation 21.   It's  all because of Jesus.  The Lord Jesus Christ will live with His bride.

Jesus who is full of light fills us with His light. He is faithful and true.   Leaning on the Bridegroom, letting Jesus carry us safely and putting our trust in Him wholeheartedly.  Jesus our divine Bridegroom.   He is our promised land, and we can rest in the serenity of our Saviour.

ON THE WINGS OF HIS LOVE, BY THE WIND OF HIS SPIRIT

On the Wings of His Love, By the Wind of His Spirit
Pam Finlay Acrylic on paper 2014

Like an eagle when we are connected to the source of life we inherit the strength to soar above the circumstances that come along our path.    We can ride on the wings of God’s love and trust in the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth.

Isaiah 40 verse 31

"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint".

Blessings,
Pam.

SOARING ABOVE

Soaring Above
Pam Finlay Acrylic on Canvas 2014

Isaiah 40 v3
The voice of one crying in the wilderness: Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God”
This hour is for those positioned in humility to honour the Lord, walking in the resurrection power, preparing the way for this move of the Spirit, a highway of holiness.  The release of the sound will bring change to our earth.  The sound of the Spirit will bring restoration, healing and new life in Christ.   The Spirit of Holiness.
The glory of God will be revealed to all who honour the Holy Spirit in faith to enter into the fullness of Jesus – to see the harvest, restoration and healing through a repentant heart.  Hearts made perfect unto Him, a holy reverence for Him.
Soaring above the circumstances of life, wisdom will bring you to a place of honour, obeying in prayer and worship.  Flying high with the Lord, divinely aligned in position as the Spirit of Love is being poured into our hearts.
“Life coming together in a new way. “
 I love you Jesus.
Blessings

IN THE CLEFT OF THE ROCK

In the Cleft of the Rock - Pam Finlay
 Acrylic on Canvas 2014

On the 17 May 2014 The Lord said: I will put you in a cleft of the rock.

I was led to seek the scriptures that spoke of the cleft of the rock and found that it was mentioned in the scripture two times:  Exodus 33 verse 22 and Song of Solomon 2 verse 14.

Exodus 33 V 22reads:

“and while my glory passes by I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by.”

God’s hand was covering Moses.  Moses was always longing for God to reveal more of himself to him.

Moses requests in verse 13, if you are pleased with me, teach me your ways, so that I may know you and continue to find favour with you. In verse 14 The LORD replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest."

The Lord is saying Rest and Trust, Hear and See.  He has placed you “near to where he is”.  We are to seek to know him more and let him teach us His ways.

In Song of Songs 2 verse 14

"O my dove, in the clefts of the rock, In the secret place of the steep pathway, Let me see your form, Let me hear your voice; For your voice is sweet, And your form is lovely."

In the painting the dove represents the release of the flow of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit within us will bring us peace and joy and in Him we can seek refuge from storms and heat.   In the secret places of the stairs Christ is in the rock, in whom we can count ourselves safe and protected.  That secret place is in our hearts.  Seek Him in that secret place.   Come boldly to the throne of grace he is saying, ascend the stairs up to God, have access and commune with Him in the secret place.  Provision is in the Cleft of the Rock.  Everything we need is in Jesus.  His mercy, grace and love is extended to us. Grace is flowing like a river down the stairs.   We can experience and grow in the glory of Christ the Rock.  How awesome is our God.  He loves us unconditionally and through the shed blood of His son Jesus he gave us the freedom to experience his glory and provision.

Stairs – a steep rock broken into stairs or terraces.  It is in these secret places that Jesus Christ separates us from the world to Himself.    We are undergoing a transformation process in the cleft of the rock in the wilderness   He is asking us to ascend those 7 steps to become one with Him, to transform into His image, raised up to live with Him forever.  Bride and Bridegroom conjoined in Holy matrimony, coming into that perfection, coming into the presence of the King at the seventh step. Going up those steps, advancing in grace and holiness, going from strength to strength, pressing forward towards perfection, stepping upwards towards the prize, Christ Jesus.  As you reach the top of the stairs you will come into full bloom.  A flourishing garden in Him, fully abiding in that secret place of Him, becoming one, coming home.

Blessings
Pam.
