 "Our Saviour's Love For His Bride"
This painting was commenced last week and on Friday was given the opportunity to photograph a horse  who was standing near the side of the road which I passed by in my car at the entrance of our town.   His posture was exactly the same as the outline of a horse that I could see in the background of a painting that I was led to paint in the spirit a couple of days prior.  Again all it took was to outline the horse and shade around him and he was revealed.  The first thing that caught my eye when I did the background was the grove of olive trees up the side of a mountain.  At the time the Holy Spirit was saying there are trees up the mountain and today I am sensing that the Lord is
showing me a picture of the Mount of Olives.  I have seen photos today of the actual Mount of Olives in Jerusalem that closely resemble the picture he gave me.  The olive trees  just appeared in the background as I was laying the paint.  The Lord is revealing and all I need to do is listen and obey.   Today I could also see Jesus' nail pierced hands in the painting, on the right hand side and the scripture that is coming to mind is from Isaiah 53:5 "by He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed".  The red in the painting is symbolic of the blood He shed for us and the redemptive power of His blood.  Red also appeared in his eyes - the fire in his eyes is His love for His bride. 
A highway is being prepared.  Prepare ye the way.  "The way is up", He is saying.  Moving up the mountain requires dedication.  The mountain symbolizes the promised land - God's promises.  The land of Israel, the promised land, His holy land.
Nahum 1:15 "Look there on the mountains, the feet of one who brings good news, who proclaims peace!  Celebrate your festivals, Judah, and fulfill your vows.  No more will the wicked invade you; they will be completely destroyed"(NIV).  He is proclaiming peace, completeness, wholeness, safety, fullness.  Jesus our Prince of Peace.  He has given us the victory and we can worship Him with a heart fully surrendered.  He has set us free.
The other scriptures that are coming to mind are Zechariah 14:4 and Acts 1:11.  The very location where Jesus was betrayed and rejected is where he will return as our triumphant King.   Hallelujah to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  JESUS, I am eagerly awaiting your return.

INTERTWINED AS ONE

"INTERTWINED AS ONE"

As I am painting I am in His perfect peace, hidden in the cleft of the rock.

 

The name for this painting is "Intertwined as One".
Did you know the word intertwine means to connect, to join together, to unite or become joined by twining one with another.
God is asking that we may all become one with Him - intertwined with Him in an everlasting bond of love. 
I was given to paint two turtle doves, two golden wedding rings intertwined, a double rainbow and the bride of Christ.  The number two keeps being repeated.  Two is the number of witness, testimony. 
Many scriptures mention about the two doves.  The doves were used in the Old Testament for atonement of sins.  They are mentioned in the gospel  in the New Testament when Jesus was born, at his baptism and just before his death.  The scriptures in the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are the ones that I think of when Jesus was baptised by John the Baptist in the Jordan river and the Holy Spirit came from heaven and descended on him "like a dove", the presence of God. 
The doves are symbols of lovingkindness, meekness, pure devotion and peace.  Springtime brings abundant new growth and blossoms appear on the trees and in comes the two doves.  Their sound can be heard all over the land.  The Lord is drawing us into that covenant relationship of pure love and devotion.  The doves sing His praises when the sun rises early in the morning, welcoming in the new day.  The two turtledoves are His love story.  The moment of the singing of the birds has come, harvest time is the time when the sound of the turtledove can be heard in the land.  A new day is dawning. 
The dove is a serene creature, her beautiful plumage, the peacefulness and gentleness that she exudes.  Her dwelling place is in the cleft of the rock.  Did you know that doves mate for life.  They are incredibly loyal to one another. 
The double rainbow represents God's covenant promise and the signs and wonders that he is showing us.
The intertwined wedding rings represent holy matrimony, the coming together of the bride and the bridegroom.  Two becoming one, united together in faith and oneness of mind.  One in Spirit and truth, one in love.  Perfect love.  I thank you Jesus, you sacrificed your life so that we could experience the fullness of your perfect love.  You are transforming us.

BLOSSOMING POMEGRANATES - THE PURE OF HEART, LOST IN HIS LOVE

Blossoming Pomegranates - The Pure of Heart, Lost in His Love

In this painting I was led to paint the bride under the Huppah (Canopy) of His love with beautiful pomegranate flowers in full bloom, signifying springtime.    As I was finishing the painting a heart formed in the area next to the bride’s cheek, a reminder from the Lord that he is giving His bride a kiss.  The scripture that led me into this painting was from Song of Solomon 7:12

“Let us get up early to the vineyards; Let us see whether the vine hath budded, And its blossom is open, And the pomegranates are in flower: There I will give thee my love”.

Pomegranates are mentioned a number of times through the bible.  The priestly robe was embroidered with Pomegranates and golden bells all around the hem (Exodus 28:33, Exodus 39:24, 26). Ringing bells, declaring life and abundance, golden bells and pomegranates (Exodus 28) that precious seed and the golden sound.   

 This highly prized fruit was also used as a motif to decorate the 2 pillars of King Solomon’s temple.

 (1 Kings 7:20)
The pomegranate symbolizes fruitfulness, abundance, blessings and the favour of God

(Numbers 13:23).

 In Jewish tradition the pomegranate is a symbol of righteousness because of its 613 seeds.

Song of Songs 6:11, 12

"I went down to the grove of nut trees to look at the new growth in the valley, to see if the vines had budded or the pomegranates were in bloom. 
Before I was aware, my soul set me over the chariots of my noble people

Solomon is looking for new growth which signifies springtime.  Spring is often considered to be the right time for marriage (Song of Songs 2:7, 2:10-13).  The budding of the pomegranates symbolize new beginnings.  The church is awaiting the Holy Spirit to usher in spiritual springtime.  He is awakening His church.  The spiritual significance of the pomegranate is life.   The Hebrew word for pomegranate is “Rimmon “(Ramam) which means to “rise up”.

 Song of Songs 4:3

“Thy lips are like a thread of scarlet, And thy speech is comely.  Thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate Behind thy veil”.

 Solomon used the pomegranate to describe the young woman’s face (4:3, 6:7). She is manifesting a pure heart, sustained by the Lord.  Her lips and temples are scarlet like the colour of the pomegranate behind her veil.   Lips are an instrument of speech.  The words we speak must come from a pure heart.    In this scripture he is seeing if she is ready for love.  He has put into the lips of the bride a song of love.

Christ’s church is a garden enclosed, a fountain sealed from the world.  He tends to His garden, the garden is His delight and He visits it often.  He causes his garden to flourish and reveal its “true beauty”, its fragrance, and sees that it comes into perfection.  He feeds the garden and ensures it is watered with His Holy Spirit.

Spices are always connected with the person of Jesus Christ.  Fruitfulness, knowledge, wisdom and learning pomegranates represent.  He chose us that we should bear fruit. 
John 15:16. Psalm 92:12-15

That close, intimate communion between the royal bridegroom and His bride. The Lord is ringing the bells of heaven throughout whole earth.  The bells of heaven rejoice and praise.

HIS ROYAL DIADEM

"His Royal Diadem"

I was led into my art room yesterday. I had received the words "Royal Diadem" when I arose that morning.  The scripture that came in was from Isaiah 62:3, His assurance of His unfailing love.  Jesus has sealed us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee of things to come.  Pure devotion.  His royal diadem is a symbol of royalty.  The colours that were chosen for the painting predominantly were purple and blue.  Purple in the bible speaks of royalty and blue the Holy Spirit.  I was sensing that the almond blossoms needed to be placed in the painting as the scripture from Jeremiah 1:11,12 had been on my heart since early in January. The almond branch over the bride, covering the bride like a canopy.  As I commenced painting the drawing I had done of the bride the Holy Spirit told me I was painting Esther as a picture of the Bride of Christ. Esther was renowned for her humility.  She was faithful to God.  On the third day she put on her royal apparel and stood in the inner court of the King.  It's like He's taken me back in time but He's also showing me a picture of where we are heading, that first fruits company of believers( 1 Peter 2:9)with eyes to see, ears to hear and an understanding heart.  The Holy Spirit had me focus on the detail in her eyes and ears for a reason.  When our ears and eyes are open to the Lord heavenly treasures will be revealed.  He is desiring us to come into full bloom and is equipping us, preparing His bride, our whole heart made ready.  I love Jesus with all of my heart, as I sing the sweet perfume of praise unto Him.

O ALMOND TREE

O Almond Tree

Awake from your winter sleep, O Almond Tree, put forth your blooms, its blossoming time, illuminated by the fragrance of Jesus.

Jeremiah 1 V11-12

11 The word of the Lord came to me: “What do you see Jeremiah?”  “I see the branch of an almond tree”, I replied.

12 Then the Lord said to me,” You have seen well, for I am watching over My word to perform it...

It’s awakening time.  The almond tree is the first to blossom and the last to bear fruit.  The almond tree is a sign of hope that he will fulfil his promises and that He is ready to perform His word.  He promises restoration.

 Ezekiel 34 v 25-31 The Lord promises spiritual blessing, blessings of grace, peace, righteousness, abundance, showers of blessing. 

That “dew from heaven”, that Holy Ghost mist.  The dew from heaven is symbolic of life, vitality, renewal and strength.

Refreshment, unity, harmony as mentioned in Psalm 133.

The dew brings God’s healing.  The morning dew is God’s delivery system.
Exodus 16 v13-17 For the manna was given by God to his people in the desert on their way to the Promised Land.  This spiritual manna delivered the “dew of Heaven”, “Showers of Blessing” bringing God’s healing.  Zechariah 8 v12   For I am planting seeds of peace and prosperity among you. The grapevines will be heavy with fruit. The earth will produce its crops, and the heavens will release the dew. Once more I will cause the remnant in Judah and Israel to inherit these blessings.

 The cloud is moving.  That dew from heaven, that heavenly mist.  Showers of blessing, the almond tree is in full bloom.

GREEN PASTURES

"Green Pastures"

Psalm 23

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.  He makes me lie down in green pastures: He leads me beside still and restful waters.

He refreshes and restores my life; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake…………..

When you get watered by God you become cleansed, refreshed and healed.  He leads us in that journey to perfection.  The refreshing living water that comes forth from Mount Zion causes the increase. 

1 Corinthians 3:6

“I planted, Apollos watered, but God all the while was making it grow and He gave the increase”.

 

Watering the seed of God’s Word.  The field can become parched and dry from a long drought but only God can give the increase.  He causes the seed to take root and spring up.  Only God can cause the seed to come alive. God’s truth sown in the centre of your heart, a heart prepared. 

He promises rest and refreshment when we rest in His promises, in the serenity of our Saviour, Jesus Christ. 
That crystal clear river flowing from the throne of God.  The pure, eternal river of life.  Revelation 22:1-2, Revelation 21:10-11. 

It’s crystal clear waters reflect God’s glory in His glistening, eternal stream.   That everlasting life flows from God to His people. 
In the painting the streams coming forth from Mount Zion are merging to become one with the Father.  They symbolize the gathering of souls together, coming into maturity and flowing in the still waters of His love. 
Isaiah 66:12-13

For thus says the Lord:

12 Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, And the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream. Then you shall feed; on her sides shall you be carried and be dandled on her knees

13 As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

The streams which flow from the Fountain of Living Waters, those waters of refreshment.

Those who are led by his comforting still waters walk in His path of righteousness and peace.  The Lord will lead our path.

HIS DWELLING PLACE

"His Dwelling Place"

That fresh, new dew in abundance.

Psalm 133:3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion; for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

The dew first descends upon the higher peaks then it flows down into the lower valleys promising peace, rest, spiritual unity and grace.  That love dripping down from heaven, the pouring out of the oil of gladness.  Soothing, gentle, joyful, restorative, energizing, fragrant, pure.

That dew is eternally refreshing, filling the heart with the Father's love.

Interestingly the word "Hermon" means devoted, sanctified.

Jesus Christ, the head, raining down His love over His dearly devoted ones.
