INNOCENCE

Pam Finlay
"Innocence"
November 2017

This painting I was led to call "Innocence.  This bride is spotless and pure.  She is shining as a light in the world. The light of Christ illuminates her whole being.  This word means purity and the scripture that was speaking clearly in my heart was from Philippians 2:
15 so that no one can criticise you.  Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people(NLT)

THE SHEEP GATE

"The Sheep Gate"
Pam Finlay
Acrylic on paper
November 2017

The Sheep Gate, it is here our life in Christ begins.  Jesus tells us He is the Door of the Sheep.

John 10:7
Then Jesus said to them again "Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the Sheep".

The Sheep gate was the first gate built in Nehemiah 3:
1 Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests and built the Sheep Gate; they consecrated it and hung its doors. They built as far as the Tower of the Hundred, and consecrated it, then as far as the Tower of the Hananel
32 And between the upper room at the corner, as far as the Sheep Gate, the goldsmiths and the merchants made repairs. ‭‭NKJV‬‬
Upon research I discovered a few interesting details about the Sheep Gate.
Outside the Sheep gate, it is believed, was the location of the main animal market where sacrificed sheep were bought and sold in the second temple era.  The lambs and sheep were bought in through the gate after they had been cleansed in the upper pool of healing(the pool of Bethesda is said to have been near the entrance to the Sheep Gate).

The Sheep Gate speaks to me of all aspects of Jesus' life.  Jesus became our sacrificial lamb.  He was the sin  offering and His death, blood and resurrection have set us free.  He died so we could live.  He is the Door of the Sheep.  He is herding His sheep in.  Everything starts and ends at the Sheep Gate.  He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end.  Two hearts joined together as one, the love of Him whom lives in you.

John 17:
21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.
26 And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.
‭‭NKJV

I hear Yeshua saying "press into me and I will press into you.  Treasures will be found".

MESSENGER

Pam Finlay
"Messenger"
Acrylic on Paper
October 2017

As I was painting this painting today  I was sensing God was portraying a message of peace and joy
I was drawn to Psalm 97 especially verses
6 Heaven's messengers preach righteousness and people everywhere see his glory in the sky
11 For he sows seeds of light within his lovers, releasing a harvest in the souls of the righteous, seeds of joy burst forth for the lovers of God
12 So be glad, and continue to give him thanks, for God's holiness is seen in everything he does (TPT)
Be a messenger of His peace and joy.  Shine His light wherever you go.

TAPESTRY

Pam Finlay
"Tapestry"
Acrylic on Canvas
October 2017

This painting is called "Tapestry".  God is weaving an all colourful tapestry into the fabric of our lives.  He is leading the path that he has chosen for you.  When you are reborn in Christ his very DNA comes to live within you, running through your blood and in your spirit.  We become one spirit with Him when His Spirit joins with our spirit.
The scriptures I received for this painting were
the whole of Isaiah 61 but especially Verse 3.
3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.(NKJV)
Ezekiel 36:
26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

FORMED ON LOVE

Pam Finlay
"Formed on Love"
Watercolour on Paper
October 2017
Marriage is so much more about God than us.  We were created to love the Lord and serve Him wholeheartedly.
This painting is all about marriage.  This year was my husband and my 33rd wedding anniversary.  The path of relationship is a life journey.  These 9 words describe the keys to relationship:
Dedication
Commitment
Honour
Respect
Obedience
Value
Trust
Faithfulness
But the most important key is "love" .  The marriage partnership is formed on love.  The love of Christ is our example, just as Christ loved us.
Christ considers himself incomplete without his bride.  He raises her to be one with himself.  He gave himself for her.  Love is the willingness to self-sacrifice.
This scripture spoke to me regarding this painting
Ephesians 5:25(NKJV)
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for her.

UNTIL SHILOH COMES

Until Shiloh Comes
Pam Finlay
Acrylic on paper
October 2017

God has got the path of the bride all mapped out.  As I was painting this I heard "you are one with the fire".   Fan the fire of God in your life.  God needs "on fire" followers, who are set on following Jesus all the way.  He is the purifier of your soul.  As Christ's follower your heart belongs to him.  He desires a soul fully submitted to Him.
When Shiloh comes we have to be ready.  He's looking for the virgin soul, a bride filled with His wisdom.
The word "Shiloh" appears 33 times in the Old Testament.  The scripture in Genesis 49:10 is a blessing to Jacob's descendants.  It reads:
"the sceptor shall not depart from Judah,
nor the ruler's staff from between his feet,
Until Shiloh comes,
and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.

The Hebrew word "Shiloh" means "to whom it belongs".  God is looking for obedient people.  He is returning to where it all began, the restoration of Shiloh.  The inheritance of the kingdom returning to whom it rightfully belongs, His obedient people.

The other scripture that I received for this painting was Psalm 45.  It is a wedding song of the Anointed King and His bride.

IN HIS ARMS

Pam Finlay
"In His Arms"
Acrylic on paper
September 2017

The moment you are born Jesus has you in His arms. He has predestined you with His love and affection.  Before I even saw His face in the painting I saw the word love on His heart.  I had randomly wrote the word "love" in the background of the painting when I started painting and when I saw the outline of Jesus in the background I immediately saw the word love that I had written earlier and it was in the place of his heart.  The forming of you is His workmanship, wonderfully and fearfully made you are.

““Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations"
Jeremiah 1:5 NIV

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.”

Kenny

"Kenny"
Pam Finlay
Watercolour on Paper
September 2017

"Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary" in the heart of Brisbane, sits on the summit of Mount Coot-tha, and is somewhere I visited as a child.  There's meaning in a name.
Mt. Coot-tha is Brisbanes' highest peak and the name is an aboriginal word meaning "place of honey".  It's named because the Aboriginal people used to come to the mountain to collect "ku-ta"(honey) that was produced by the native stingless bee(www.australianexplorer.com).

Honey in the heart of Brisbane on the mountain.  What a perfect place to have a wildlife sanctuary.  I still think of that place from time to time.  It's the world's oldest and largest Koala Sanctuary and was founded in 1927 (www.koala.net).   It is a beautiful wildlife sanctuary and the perfect place to see and cuddle a Koala, my favourite Australian animal.

I remembered this place when I had a moment with a Koala earlier this year with a group of friends in South Australia.  I was able to get up close to the Koala to pat him and take his photo and hence this painting came into fruition.

A couple of interesting facts about one of God's amazing creatures.
The word "Koala" is thought to come from the Aboriginal word meaning "no drink".  Although Koalas do drink water on occasion, most of their hydration requirements are fulfilled by the moisture they get from eating Eucalyptus leaves (www.mnn.com).
I was amazed when researching the Koala to find that hundreds of thousands of them were slaughtered in the 1920's and public outrage forced the government to declare them a "protected species" by the late 1930's (www.savethekoala.com)

The things that happen when I am given a painting to paint. Many hidden truths are revealed on my journey of discovery.

I hope you love Koalas as much as I do and care about their future as one of our cuddly animal ambassadors.

HOSANNA

HOSANNA
Pam Finlay
Acrylic on paper
September 2017

The word “Hosanna” came into my spirit as I was painting this palm tree.  I recalled the scriptures that mentioned this word in the bible, the meaning  of ”hosanna” being save, rescue, saviour.   Save us we pray.  By waving palm branches and saying “Hosanna” as Jesus passed through the gates of Jerusalem the Jews were acknowledging that Jesus was their Messiah. Hosanna in the highest!  This phrase only appears twice in the bible.  It’s about Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem.   As they shouted “hosanna in the highest” they declared that their Messiah has come to establish God’s kingdom.  Save us, our Messiah who comes to carry out God’s mission.

Matthew 21:9 ESV

And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!  Hosanna in the highest!”

Mark 11:10 NKJV

Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that comes in the name of the Lord!.  Hosanna in the highest!

John 12:13 ESV

So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!”

The scriptures I was also drawn to were the ones that mentioned palm trees.  They are mentioned dozens of times in the bible.  Palm trees were engraved on the walls of the temple and on the doors of the inner sanctuary.    The palm trees are also mentioned when referring to the feasts as in Leviticus 23:40-42.    The branches of the palms were the emblem of victory and triumph.  Palm trees are described as upright, depicting the righteous.  They flourish and bear fruit until old age.

Psalm 92:12

The righteous man will flourish like the palm tree, He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon.

Blessed be the rock of my salvation.  Jesus, you are worthy to be praised.  We magnify you and exalt your holy name.

Blessings,

Pam.

CENTENARY BLOOMS

Pam Finlay
"Centenary Blooms"
Acrylic on Canvas
September 2017

There is always a minutes silence at ANZAC ceremonies to remember the servicemen and women who have fought for our country.  This painting is of red poppies which are traditionally symbolic of the commemoration and remembrance of the ANZACS.

This year marks the 100th Anniversary of the Charge of the ANZAC Light Horse Regiment at Beersheba.  My husband and I will be attending a special commemorative ceremony at Beersheba on the 31 October 2017.  We will be following the victory path of the brave, mounted infantry of the ANZACS.

This painting has been underway for a number of months and it was only this week that God started to share with me about the significance of what He had been leading me to paint.

A few days ago Holy Spirit was pressing on me to reread the book of Joshua in particular Chapter 6.  I noticed the similarities between the ANZACS and Joshua and his army.  The ANZACS claimed victory in a number of hours and Joshua and his army in 7 days.  The soldiers remained silent and they were masters at staying hidden until instructed to take the city and overcome the enemy.  They overcame all odds to claim victory.  The ANZACS were heroes at battling for God’s holy city, Jerusalem and Joshua and his army for Jericho.

In the book of Joshua Chapter 6 there was a command to silence until God instructed the people to shout.  When you are commanded to be silent, be silent.  Sin could spoil your hope of victory.  Silence doesn’t need explanation. Give time for the trumpet sound of God to completely penetrate your heart and mind.  Listen and be guided by that sound.  Shout a victory shout as the trumpets blow.  Experience resurrection victory as you have ears to hear the sound and your eyes become finely tuned to the ways of the spirit.  Do what God says to do and you will walk in VICTORY.

Those walls are coming down once and for all.  Jericho is symbolic of our walk of faith.  Jesus won the victory for us 2000 years ago.  The battle has already been won for you.  Give a shout of triumph for your God.  Remember those who have gone before you fighting the good fight of faith and honour them.

Blessings

FACE TO FACE

"Face to Face"

Seeking God face to face, enjoying the intimacy with Him, the power of His presence, is the ultimate awakening experience.   Day by day He is transforming and illuminating your life as you keep your eyes stayed on Him.

You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
Isaiah 26:3 NKJV

Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? Or who may stand in His holy place.
He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive blessing from the LORD, And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face, Selah.
Psalms 24:3-6 NKJV

For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face.  Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
1 Corinthians 13:12 NKJV

Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face evermore.
1 Chronicles 16:11 NKJV

God be merciful to us and bless us, And cause His face to shine upon us, Selah.

BLOOM

Pam Finlay
"BLOOM"
Acrylic on Canvas
September 2017

As I started this painting I heard the words “The Eyes are the Window of the Soul”.  I was drawn to paint the eyes first.  Jesus speaks of eyes and light in scripture and He is describing that you should keep your eyes on God.  That is the secret to blooming.

The Holy Spirit is where our light comes from.  He comes to reside within our heart.  He rekindles the light that was once darkened by the Adamic nature.  In scripture the eyes are mentioned as the lamp of the body.

Matthew 6:22 The lamp of the body is the eye.  If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light.  23 But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness.  If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father in heaven(NKJV)

The young lady’s eyes reveal her soul.  She radiates a pure heart, a beautiful reflection of Christ.  Her eyes tell the story of her heart.  They are loyal and committed and display the love that resides within.  She is wearing a garland of flowers.  In ancient times a wreath of flowers symbolized a ring.  Her mind is betrothed to her Maker.  She is wearing the fragrance of Christ.

Isaiah 62:3 You will be a crown of splendour in the LORD’s hand, a royal diadem in the hand of your God (NIV)
Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there is your heart also (Aramaic)

As I was painting I also saw a veil and it was transparent and it was opened over her face.  It spoke to me of living a transparent life and being that free passage of light.  This causes you to bloom, to show your true colours, the transparent prism of light reflecting from the Son.  God is light and He is moulding us to be like Him, a carrier of His light.  Allow the light of Christ to shine through you.  Let your life be an opened book, the word of God made manifest.  His truth is what makes you free.

Ephesians 5:8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the LORD.  Walk as children of light (NKJV)

Blessings,
Pam

FACETS OF TIME

Facets of Time

Life moves in cycles, just like the butterfly, facets of time you could say.  The Lord led me to place a crown in the background of this painting.  He is saying you will be a crown, a royal crown in His hands.  As you emerge, embrace change and shine like a multi-faceted gem.
Live the transformed life, a life of freedom in Christ.  Reflect His nature and be the change you need to be.  A great transformation exists within you through the Lord Jesus Christ.    Be yourself, God made you to be you.  Let His exceptional brilliance radiate in and through you.
Scriptures
Isaiah 62:3 You shall be a crown of glory in the hand of the LORD, and a royal diadem in the hand of your God(NKJV)
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold new things have come(NASB)
Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven……..(NKJV)

THE ROYAL TREATMENT

"The Royal Treatment"
Pam Finlay
Acrylic on Canvas
June 2017
This painting is of a Monarch butterfly and Dandelion seeds.  Monarch is defined in the dictionary as a person or thing that holds a dominant position, a hereditary sovereign as a king, queen, or emperor, a sole or absolute ruler of a state or nation.
As I was about to start this painting I heard the words “you are given the royal treatment”.  It came as an advertisement in my emails for a product and the Lord highlighted it to me.

The other thing God showed me when I had done the background was dandelion seeds blowing and moving fast through the air.  Wherever they landed they grew.
Like the Dandelion seeds as you mature you become more like Christ.  You share the love of Christ wherever you go.  You are a royal ambassador of the Kingdom of God here on earth.  Riding on His outstretched wings you are royalty.  As a follower of Christ, you are part of the royal lineage of heaven.  You are a king and a priest to our God, a Kingdom citizen that cannot be shaken.  You are a son or daughter of the Most High and you were born to fly high.  The King of Kings is high above all other kings.  You are crowned with His lovingkindness and His mercy.  So great is His mercy to those who fear him.  You are a royal representative of the crown, a loyal follower of the Monarch of Heaven.
Scriptures that resonate for this painting are:
1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light (NIV)
Psalm 103:4b Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies,
11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him (NKJV)
Revelation 1:6 And has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever(NKJV)
Revelation 5:10 And have made us unto our God a kingdom and priests, and we shall reign on the earth (NKJV)

A Life Transformed by Christ
As a disciple of Jesus Christ you are known by your fruit.  Jesus will provide spiritual fruit for you.  Seek Him and place all your hope and trust in Him and He will bring to maturity that precious fruit.  Do not fear He is always with you, guiding you every step of the way.  He searches your heart and deepens your understanding.  He will nourish and ripen the fruit in your life.
Jeremiah 17:
7 But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD whose confidence is in him.

ABOVE THE WATERS

Pam Finlay
"Above the Waters"
Acrylic on Canvas
May 2017

The Lion is above the waters of the crystal clear garden stream.  While I was painting I heard in my spirit "From Heaven's Perspective".  I also kept hearing the song "Islands in the Stream" as I commenced painting.  The lyrics spoke to me especially the words "sail away with me to another world and we rely on each other ah ha, from one lover to another ah ha".

The waterlilies are nourished by the Living Water and live in the earth and in Heaven.  The waterlilies symbolise purity.  They are transplanted into paradise where there is no thorns and where they find rest in Christ.

His faithful people are compared to the lily.
Song of Songs 2:2 Yes you are my darling companion.  You stand out from all the rest.  For though the curse of sin surrounds you, Still you remain as pure as a lily, Even more than all others(TPT)

Other scriptures I was drawn to as I was painting were: Daniel 12:6-13, Ezekiel 1:25, John 17:14-16 and Haggai 2:6-9.

The Lion in the painting represents Jesus, who is also known as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.  He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and the Ruler of all Rulers.  He is the ultimate conqueror and in these last days He is revealing His glory throughout the earth.  He will reveal the mysteries of Heaven.  God desires to pour out His glory so that all the earth will come to know Jesus and His Holy Spirit.

Haggai 2:
7 and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory, says the LORD of Hosts.
8 The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine, says the LORD of Hosts.
9 The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of Hosts, and in this place I will give peace, says the LORD of Hosts (NKJV)

You are God's temple. Jesus has chosen you to step out in His authority and walk in holiness and purity.  He's changing you from glory to glory into His image, you're blooming for Him.  He's softening you on the inside with His tender love and He requires dedication from you.  The sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit lives in you.  His Living Water sustains you.  As the scripture tells us in Daniel 12 you will rise to your inheritance at the end of days.  The Holy Spirit is purifying you and you are being made white and refined.

Daniel 12:13 Now as for you, go on to the end.  You will rest and will stand to receive your reward at the end of days (CEB).

LOYAL LOVE

"Loyal Love"
Pam Finlay
Acrylic on Canvas
March 2017

The love story between Ruth and Boaz has captured my heart and has led me to paint a picture of Ruth, a picture of loyal love.

I loved reading the book of Ruth about the story of Ruth and Naomi and Boaz.  Their commitment to God directs their hearts.  Love is sacrifice.  Love is surrender.  Love is perfect submission.  Love invites you to relinquish yourself.  Ruth was faithful and devoted.  She was the perfect testimony of loyal love.  She chose to follow God.  She left everything she had behind to fulfil Gods promise for her life.  She stepped forward into the promises He had for her life.

The book of Ruth is a picture of the divine romance between Christ and His bride.  Boaz set his eyes upon Ruth.  He redeems her to be his bride.  This portrays a picture of our redemption being restored back to God and belonging to Him.  Ruth sacrificed all.  In the book of Ruth Christ is revealed as our Kinsman Redeemer.  Let us be at His feet and let Him cover us.

THE FLOODPLAINS OF KAKADU

Three Paintings from my new body of work
"The Floodplains of Kakadu"
Pam Finlay
Acrylic on Canvas
March 2017
The message through this series of paintings is the word “transition”.  Transition means to move from one state to another and that word has been on my heart for this new body of work that I am being led to create.
In the wet season the northern part of Kakadu National Park in the Northern Territory of Australia transitions to become a vast expanse of water due to the monsoonal rains.  Beautiful waterlilies highlight the landscape which becomes a photographers and artists dream.  I haven’t been to visit the floodplains of Kakadu in person but recently have been taken there through painting to capture the beauty and majesty of the place.  I have been caught up in the momentum of reflection through capturing the still waters, evoking a sense of calm.  In the silence I have been captivated by the beauty of the landscape.  One day I will see and experience this beautiful landscape that occupies my imagination.  One thing I know for sure is that everywhere I look lately I see waterlilies in the local streams that are being filled up by the summer rains.
Love and blessings,

WISE WOMAN WARRIOR ARISE

"Wise Woman Warrior Arise"
Pam Finlay
Acrylic on Canvas
March 2017

A new painting just finished and was told to call it “Wise Woman Warrior Arise”.  This is how the Lord desires us to be in this hour.  We are to be wise like Deborah, awaken and utter a song, a victory song.

Deborah was a wise woman of God.  She was a prophetess who had influence.  Through her prophetic eyes she called on and poured out God’s wisdom.  Her heart was fixed on God.  He raised her up to judge the people of Israel.   Her dwelling house was under a palm tree.  There she dispensed righteousness, justice and mercy on God’s behalf.

Wake up, wise, warrior woman of God, He is calling you.  Hear and sing a song of victory, the sound of who God has made you to be.  Rise up all you nations, tribes, tongues and peoples, recite the victories of the LORD, fight the good fight and listen to Wisdom’s call.   Christ is Wisdom.  He is the centre and source of all divine revelation.

When I looked closely in the background of the painting I could see many fish.  I hear Him saying the land and sea, I’m taking it back.  He’s redeeming all back to Him all that has been lost.

Revelation 7:9 After this I saw many multitudes which were impossible to count, which were of all people, generations, nations and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, and wearing white garments and with palms in their hands. (Aramaic)

Judges 4:
4 Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, judged Israel at that time.
5 She sat under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Bethel in the hill county of Ephraim, and the Israelites came up to her for judgment. (AMPC)

Judges 5:
On that day Deborah and Barak son of Abinoam sang this song:
2 When the princes in Israel take the lead, when the people willingly offer themselves – praise the Lord.
3 “Hear this, you kings!  Listen you rulers! I even I, will sing to the Lord; I will praise the LORD, the God of Israel, in song.
4 “When you, LORD, went out from Seir, when you marched from the land of Edom, the earth shook, the heavens poured, the clouds poured down water.
5 The mountains quaked before the LORD, the One of Sinai, before the LORD, the God of Israel.
6 In the days of Shamgar son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were abandoned; travellers took to winding paths.
7 Villagers in Israel would not fight; they held back until I, Deborah, arose, until I arose, a mother in Israel.
8 God chose new leaders when war came to the city gates, but not a shield or spear was seen, among forty thousand in Israel.
9 My heart is with Israel’s princes, with the willing volunteers among the people.  Praise the LORD!
10 “You who ride on white donkeys, sitting on your saddle blankets, and you who walk along the road, consider
11 the voice of the singers at the watering places.  They recite the victories of the LORD, the victories of his villagers in Israel.  Then the people of the LORD went down to the city gates.
12 Wake up, wake up, Deborah! Wake up, wake up, break out in song! (NIV)

Blessings and love,
Pam.

SURRENDER

Pam Finlay
"Surrender"
Acrylic on Canvas
February 2017

This painting is called “Surrender”.  The woman of God is Sarah.  Sarah was a woman of hope.  She surrendered her will to God and she obeyed what God had to teach her.   She had times of unbelief, fear, doubt and anxiety in her situation.  But in this time God never left her.  Despite her rebelling God stayed with her.  When Abraham and Sarah eventually surrendered in silence and listened to God, He brought them the news that they so desired, a message that they would conceive a child.
God made all things possible, He brought forth a miracle in what seemed like an impossible situation.  Sarah is a role model to wives that they are to place all of their hope in God as they obediently allow their husband to lead the home (1 Peter 3:5-6).  Interestingly the word Abraham means father of many nations, God changed his name from Abram.  Sarah also had her name changed by God before the birth of her son Isaac, she was Sarai and became Sarah which means princess.    God, through their names, gave them the promise of ancestorship of many nations.  The promised “seed” will be blessed (Genesis 28:13-15).  Jesus Christ is the “seed” of Abraham. Abraham’s covenant has been fulfilled in Him.   We must at all times place our hope and trust in Jesus.  He came to bless us as His “seed”, His children.   When we find God we have a choice to make , we have to choose to surrender to His will.  He knows the plans He has for you, plans of a future and a hope.  He will never forsake or leave you and He is there for you always.   Whenever you ask, He hears and answers your prayers.   Hope doesn’t disappoint.
Blessings and love,
Pam.

LIVING STONES

Pam Finlay
"Living Stones"
Acrylic on Paper
January 2017

Imagine discovering an opening in a rock and placing your eye up to it to look inside. In awe you discover glistening water and precious luminescent stones in beautiful colours.  Every one of these stones are uniquely patterned and sized.  They are being polished, prepared and washed clean in the underground stream and are being transformed to be revealed at the appointed time as beautiful and very valuable jewels.  They are hidden and protected by the rock in a deep spring of living water.  What a beautiful picture to behold.

The scripture I am being given for this painting is Ephesians 1:18

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints(KJV)

Blessings,
Pam

AND THE GOVERNMENT SHALL BE UPON HIS SHOULDER

Pam Finlay
"And the Government Shall Be Upon His Shoulder"
Watercolour on Paper
January 2017

With this painting the only scripture that Holy Spirit was prompting me to share is the one below.  He is desiring that the painting speak to you through His Spirit.  That is why there are no words accompanying other than this amazing scripture.

Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace(ESV)
The other scripture that is resonating is Isaiah 22.

I welcome your comments, what is God saying to you?
Be blessed,
Pam
